CFB Pick'Em is a private college football confidence pick'em app built for friends-and-family leagues. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's used. It's a small, independently-run app — not a company, not ad-supported, and your data is never sold.

Information We Collect

Account info from Google Sign-In — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and profile picture. We don't see or store your Google password.
Info you provide directly — a username you choose, an optional favorite team, and your app theme preference.
Gameplay data — the picks you make each week (teams, confidence points, wagers, over/under picks), which leagues you're a member of, and your Superdog, Survivor, and CFP Champion picks where applicable.
League chat messages — if your league uses the in-app chat, messages you send are stored and shown to other members of that league.
Suggestions you submit — feedback sent through the in-app Suggestions box, including the category you select.
Push notification subscription — only if you opt in: a browser-issued subscription token used to deliver alerts (like picks locking soon or a game going final). No location or device tracking is involved.

How We Use Your Information

To run the app itself — track your picks, compute standings, and show leaderboards.
To display your username, avatar, and picks to other members of your own league(s) — this is core to how a pick'em pool works, not incidental sharing.
To display your username, avatar, and picks on the Superdog and Survivor leaderboards, which are shared, app-wide competitions open to everyone — not limited to your own league.
To send you push notifications you've explicitly opted into.
To read and act on feedback submitted through the Suggestions box.

How We Share Your Information

We don't sell your data, run ads, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only in these ways:

With your own league(s) — your username, avatar, and confidence-pick picks are visible to other people in the same league, by design.
Via Superdog and Survivor — these are shared, app-wide competitions, not scoped to any one league. Your username, avatar, and picks in these modes are visible to everyone who uses the app, not just your own league.
With service providers that run the app — Google (for sign-in only), Supabase (our database and authentication provider), and Vercel (app hosting). Each only processes what's needed to provide their service.
Public sports data — the app fetches public game scores, schedules, and betting lines from ESPN's public API. This is one-directional; no information about you is ever sent to ESPN.

Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in a Supabase-hosted database and accessed over HTTPS. Sign-in is handled entirely by Google — CFB Pick'Em never sees or stores your password.

Your Choices

Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off anytime from the app's Settings.
Your theme and favorite team can be changed anytime in the app.
There's no self-serve "delete account" button yet — to request deletion or correction of your data, reach out through the in-app Suggestions box (menu → Suggestions) and it'll be handled directly.

Children's Privacy

CFB Pick'Em is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

This page may be updated occasionally as the app changes. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
